"My 140i was acquired c 6 months ago, I quickly realised living in the country that I may have made a bad choice. The B roads where I live showed up the appalling ride quality on the car to the point that I was spending most of my driving time trying to avoid pot holes and road imperfections. My wife hated the car.

"The Quaife diff sits alongside the suspension as a must have for anyone thinking about modifying an M235i or M240i. Not merely because it allows big silly skids, but because it works with the chassis to better deploy the engine's ample reserves. The inconsistency and unpredictability that can come with a powerful RWD car running an open diff is gone, replaced with much more transparent (and enjoyable) relationship between throttle pedal, steering wheel and rear axle. This is what baby BMWs should feel like..."

HI James.

I just want to say a big thank you, to you, your dad & all the team at Birds Auto for the installation of my Quaife LSD.  Even though it was a round trip of 500 miles it was defiantly worth the journey, for the piece of my knowing that the job would be done right.

There is a massive difference in how the car handles on country roads.  I’m lucky enough to live on the edge of Weardale so it’s been fully tested on those winding roads. Can’t wait to do the North Coast 500 next year

Dear Kevin,
It’s now two weeks since the work was carried out on my M140i (B1 Dynamics, steering, LSD and engine remap) and I have been able to test the new set-up on the motorway, in town and on B roads.
